The Trinitarian family mourns the death of Fr. Guillermo Palacio, a native of Colombia, and a Trinitarian priest in the vicariate of the province of northern Spain where he served as the vicariate’s President of Trinitarian Solidarity International.
Fr. Guillermo was a native of Colombia although he lived in Puerto Rico. Several years ago he was named President of Trinitarian Solidarity International by the Trinitarian vicariate. His participation at the leadership team meetings was a response to Fr. Guillermo’s desire to actively work for Christians who suffer persecution because of their faith.
His brother priests were present during his illness until he surrendered himself to the will of God. On August 9 he received the last chemotherapy treatment hoping that his condition would improve. Now, after passing through this earthly existence where he was united with the suffering of those battling illness and of those who suffer persecution, Fr. Guillermo entered into the Peace of the Lord. Trinitarian Solidarity International prays for him offering the Eucharist for the repose of his soul.
