Supporting students’ education in Catholic schools project

Project description

3.1 General management

The project will be directed from Caritas offices located in the Chaldean church and some rented locales around, and be implemented by a team of 7 dedicated persons, (a project coordinator, 3 caseworkers, 2 data managements and 1 M&E). The following chart represents the global structure of the project management.

3.2 Global and specific objectives:

Global objective: Provide education to vulnerable students in Catholic private schools in Aleppo.

Result: 2000 students enrolled in Catholic private schools in year 2016-2017 receive financial assistance.

Indicator: 2000 students receive an average of 15000 LYS financial assistance as a part of tuition fees

Means of verification: List of beneficiaries

 Specific objective 1: Support students’ education in Kindergarten schools who are in danger of quitting schooling because of the armed conflict and the economic situations in the city of Aleppo.

Result 1: Kindergarten students enrolled in Catholic private schools, year 2016/2017, receive 8000 SYP.

Specific objective 2: Support students’ education in elementary schools who are in danger of quitting schooling because of the armed conflict and the economic situations in the city of Aleppo.

Result 2: Elementary students enrolled in Catholic private schools, year 2016/2017, receive 15000 SYP.

Specific objective 3: Support students’ education in intermediate schools who are in danger of quitting schooling because of the armed conflict and the economic situations in the city of Aleppo.

Result 3: Intermediate students enrolled in Catholic private schools, year 2016/2017, .receive 17000 SYP.

Specific objective 4: Support students’ education in high-schools who are in danger of quitting schooling because of the armed conflict and the economic situations in the city of Aleppo.

Result 4: High-school students enrolled in Catholic private schools, year 2016/2017, .receive 20000 SYP.

Beneficiaries:

The beneficiaries are the children of resident or displaced vulnerable families afflicted by the war of various Christian denominations. In the city of Aleppo and in its region.

The direct beneficiaries: Are the vulnerable Christians’ students of displaced or resident families from all the churches’ faiths who are studying in the Catholic private schools.

Number of beneficiaries: 2000 students.

The indirect beneficiaries: Are the administrations of nine Catholic private school in Aleppo: Al-Imane, Al-Amal, Al-Zanabek, Al-Wardiah, Sayedet Al-Farah, Alwroude, Al-Farah, Al-Mekhtarine, and Al-Inaya
