Młodzi na spotkaniu Międzynarodowej Solidarności Trynitarskiej.

W dniach 30.04–1.05 2019 w Krakowie odbyło się coroczne spotkanie Międzynarodowej Solidarności Trynitarskiej (SIT). W Domu Ojców Trynitarzy zgromadzili się ludzie różnej narodowości, konsekrowani i świeccy, starsi i młodsi, z bliska i z daleka. Wszyscy zaangażowani, zjednoczeni, by modlić się, by kochać, by działać. Podczas spotkania osób żyjących charyzmatem trynitarskim nie mogło zabraknąć młodych ludzi związanych z krakowską wspólnotą trynitarzy. Pomagali oni w przygotowaniu liturgii i logistyce spotkania.

Swoje zaufanie i gotowość do podjęcia działania wyraziliśmy w modlitwie koronką do Bożego Miłosierdzia w językach: angielskim, hiszpańskim, francuskim, włoskim i polskim.

Spektakl “Jan de Matha”

Św. Jan de Matha inspiruje do dzisiaj, chociaż żył ponad 800 lat temu. Swoją charyzmą ujął wyjątkowych młodych ludzi z Wrocławia, Wołowa i Żmigrodu, którzy opowiedzieli historię założyciela Zakonu Trynitarzy w niecodzienny sposób. Dzieje trynitarzy widziane oczyma młodych zaskakiwały dojrzałością przekazu i użyciem niecodziennych środków wyrazu. Aktorzy namalowali portret Jana słowem, tańcem, dźwiękiem, światłem i cieniem.

Jednak spotkanie Międzynarodowej Solidarności Trynitarskiej w Krakowie wlało wiele radości do naszych serc i dało poczucie wielkiej siły wspólnoty Kościoła. Był to czas kolejnego wezwania, by dawać z siebie więcej.

Young people at the meeting of the International Trinitarian Solidarity.

On April 30 – May 1, 2019, in Krakow, the annual meeting of International Trinitarian Solidarity took place. The House of Trinitarian brothers in Krakow gathered people of different nationalities, consecrated and secular, older and young, from near and far. Everyone involved, united to pray, to love, to act. At the congress of people living the Trinitarian charism, young people connected with the Trinitarian community in Krakow could not be missing. They helped in preparing the liturgy and logistics of the meeting. They were also involved in the events accompanying the SIT meeting, such as the prayer vigil for the persecuted Christians prepared by the Youth Community „Trójka”, the „Jan de Matha” spectacle performed by young actors from the Archdiocese of Wroclaw and the Nationwide Competition “Shades of Silence”. These events were supposed to open our eyes to the tragedies that are happening around us, to awaken sensitivity to harm, but also to initiate actions to help our persecuted brothers.

Vigil prayer for the persecuted Christians

We know that through prayer, we can do God’s works and participate in God’s action not only in the place where we live, but all over the world. That is why on Sunday evening we gathered in the chapel at the Trinitarian Fathers monastery to meet with the same God who touches the peoples hearts in Korea, Afghanistan, Somalia, Syria, or Sri Lanka, people who are close and far. We asked Jesus to come through the bolted door of our hearts full of fear and cowardice and bring us peace as he came to his disciples after the Resurrection. During the vigil we considered a fragment from the Gospel of Saint John (John 20, 19-31) about the coming of Jesus after the Resurrection to the Apostles and meeting with Thomas. The vigil was a time of prayer, so that Christ, who is with our persecuted brothers in their suffering, pain, horror, bring them comfort. That they would not lose joy in meeting Jesus and remember that Life is stronger than wounds. Wounds that were to convince Thomas of the Resurrection, and which he did not want to touch after meeting with Christ face to face. Wounds that have not disappeared after the Resurrection, to remind God’s love that bears the name of mercy. The peace of which Christ speaks and shares with us, and which is sometimes so difficult to receive for us, has its source in His wounds changed by the splendor of the Resurrection. The vigil took place on a special day, on the Sunday of the Divine Mercy, and it was an opportunity to immerse both the victims and the oppressors in it. We expressed our trust and readiness to take action by praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet in English, Spanish, French, Italian and Polish.

Performance “Jan de Matha”

John de Matha, even though he lived more than 800 years ago, still inspires today. His charisma had an impact on exceptional young people from Wrocław, Wołów and Żmigród, who told the story of the founder of the Trinitarian Order in an unusual way. The story of the Trinitarians, seen through the eyes of the youth, surprised with the maturity of the message and the use of unusual means of expression. The actors painted a portrait of John with word, dance, sound, light and shadow. As they emphasize: they found in Saint John a role model, and the preparation of the performance has motivated them to learn more about themselves and what the spirit of the Trinitarian Order brings with.

Although a lot of time has passed since the beginning of the redemption by Saints John and Felix, the idea remained the same. It is a concern for the threatened faith of a human being and for helping those who suffer, are persecuted, and in need. The young actors perfectly understand this, and together with the play directed by Piotr Kwasigroch, they ask to notice our persecuted brothers, their tears which no one will wipe and outstretched hands asking for help. Help that we can offer to them by joining the campaign “More than five minutes”, about which we had the opportunity to hear after the spectacle from the leader of the “Trójka” Michał Pukajczyk.

Competition “Shades of silence”

The modern world has a lot to offer, especially to young people. Unfortunately, it offers not only good things that support development, but also sets many pitfalls. Fortunately, young people can maturely approach the problems of the modern world, as evidenced by their participation in the “Shades of Silence” competition. Young people between the ages of 13 and 20 were asked to present either a literary form or to design a graphic relating to the problem of persecution of Christians in the modern world. Participants of the competition using the means of artistic expression gave many important answers, they managed to enclose in the words and images the experience of persecution for faith and at the same time opened their eyes to those who are indifferent to the suffering of others.

The awarding ceremony took place during a symposium on various aspects of the persecution problem organized as part of the International Trinitarian Solidarity.

Become the voice of the persecuted

It was an amazing time. A time full of hope for a world free of hatred, violence, a world full of love and peace. It would seem that we are powerless in the face of the enormity of evil and suffering, that what we do is a drop in the ocean of the needs of suffering brothers. However, the time of the meeting of the International Trinitarian Solidarity in Krakow poured a lot of joy into our hearts and gave a sense of the great strength of the Church community. It was the time of the next call to give something more. We are happy that we could have participated in these events. The presence of us, youth, at the SIT meeting is a hope for a greater involvement of the young generation in initiatives related to the help of the persecuted. We hope that after the meeting in Krakow, even more young people will give their hearts and time to those who give everything to Jesus. That even more of us will become the voice of persecuted brothers and sisters whose cry is silent.[:]
